Biological transfer of the CBA Tcra locus into C57BL/6 mice

, : Biological transfer of the CBA Tcra locus into C57BL/6 mice. Immunogenetics 31(3): 207-210

Breeding experiments are described in which the T-cell receptor alpha locus (Tcra) was backcrossed to the C57BL/6 strain to create Tcra congenic mice. Using restriction fragment length polymorphism markers for Tcra genes, it was found that no recombination hotspots were present in the Tcra locus of C57BL/6 or CBA mice, and that the locus was < 1cM in size.
