Cardiac arrhythmias associated with mass lesions of the canine spleen

, : Cardiac arrhythmias associated with mass lesions of the canine spleen. Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association 29(2): 122-128

Case records from 106 dogs presented to the Angell Memorial Animal Hospital with splenic haemangiosarcoma, haematoma, and leiomyosarcoma for the period from 1968 to 1990 were reviewed. Ventricular arrhythmias were found in 38.5% with haemangiosarcoma, 34.1% with haematoma, and 27.3% with leiomyosarcoma. A period of supraventricular tachycardia was observed in one which had premature ventricular contractions.
