, : Histopathological changes in liver of rats intoxicated with ethanol and given a diet enriched with cysteine. Bromatologia i Chemia Toksykologiczna 24(1): 21-25

8 groups of 6 male Wistar rats weighing about 200 g were given for 4 weeks a standard diet supplemented with 0.125, 0.250 or 0.500% cysteine. In some experimental groups rats received a dose of ethanol, 0.6 g/100 g body weight daily. A control group was fed on the standard diet without supplement. After 4 weeks rats were killed and histopathological changes in the liver were examined.
