Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) content of 16 Sorghum bicolor cultivars

, : Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) content of 16 Sorghum bicolor cultivars. Revista de Salud Animal 13(2): 149-153

Analysis of cyanide contents of S. bicolor in Cuba cut 36-79 d after the first cut showed significant differences between cultivars. Concentrations decreased significantly with age, but at no stage exceeded 200 mg/kg FW, considered toxic for ruminants.
