Molecular characterization of pox (viral) DNA

, : Molecular characterization of pox (viral) DNA. Indian Journal of Animal Sciences 63(8): 857-862

Viral DNA of 9 sheep pox viruses: a Kenyan cattle isolate, 3 Kenyan sheep isolates, 1 Romanian 'Fanar' vaccine isolate, 1 Russian field isolate, 3 Indian isolates: Ranipet attenuated (80th passage strain, Jaipur and Karnal field isolates), a capripox virus field isolate and a buffalo-pox virus isolate from India were analysed at molecular level. No antigenic variation was observed amongst sheep-pox isolates using an immunoblot assay.
