Palm oil as oleochemical raw materials

, : Palm oil as oleochemical raw materials. Proceedings, World conference on oleochemicals: into the 21st century, held 8-12 October 1990 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: 82-87

The production of palm oil is expected to increase continuously to the year 2000. The main outlet is for food applications; the remainder goes into inedible uses. In the oleochemical applications, palm oil can be considered as an alternative to inedible tallow, either by direct utilization or utilization of the products of fat splitting, especially in the natural fat-based surfactants.
