Performance of rice (Oryza sativa) varieties under different solar radiation regimes

, : Performance of rice (Oryza sativa) varieties under different solar radiation regimes. Indian Journal of Agronomy 36(Supplement): 246-247

In a field experiment in 1985 at Ludhiana (30 degrees 54'N, 75 degrees 48'E), rice PR106, IR8 and Palman 570 were transplanted on 9 June, 5 and 31 July. The average daily radiant energy upon the crop from transplanting to flowering, flowering to maturity and transplanting to maturity was recorded. Grain yields in PR106 and IR8 were positively related to the energy receipt during flowering to maturity.
