Remote sensing the land surface water budget

, : Remote sensing the land surface water budget. TERRA 1: understanding the terrestrial environment: the role of earth observations from space: 1-7

Remotely-sensed data can be used for retrieving variables related to components of the energy and water budgets. Recent studies in developing radiative transfer models which relate the radiation observed to the radiation loading at some part of the surface, coupled to geophysical models of the surface energy and water budgets are reviewed. Data integration and spatial scale are considered.
