Single enterotomy removal of gastrointestinal linear foreign bodies

, : Single enterotomy removal of gastrointestinal linear foreign bodies. Journal of the American Animal Hospital Association 28(6): 487-490

Linear foreign bodies of various types were placed in the gastrointestinal tracts of 10 dead cat specimens to stimulate gastrointestinal clinical presentation. A technique for removal of the foreign bodies via a single enterotomy was performed. In all cases the foreign bodies were removed readily without iatrogenic trauma to the gastrointestinal tract during removal.
