Stimulation of photoautotrophy of in vitro plants

, : Stimulation of photoautotrophy of in vitro plants. Acta Horticulturae ( 300): 59-75

Shoots of Pelargonium xhortorum Penny Irene, P. peltatum Ville de Paris and grape cultivars Riesling and Silvaner were cultured on an agar-based Linsmaier & Skoog (LS) rooting medium supplemented with 0-20 g sucrose/litre at 25 degrees C under 16-h days. After 4 weeks, the highest dark respiration rate for P. hortorum plants occurred in those cultured on media containing 20 or 10 g sucrose/litre.
