20 cows of an infected herd were vaccinated twice with an inactivated IBR vaccine. A month after the second vaccination, half of the cows were injected i.m. with dexamethasone. All animals remained healthy and no virus was present in samples of nasal secretion taken between 5 and 12 days after injection.
