Using dynamic programming models in farm management research

, : Using dynamic programming models in farm management research. Computers in agriculture 1994: proceedings of the 5th International Conference, Orlando, Florida, USA, 6-9 February, 1994: 495-500

In the past, many practical applications of dynamic programming were limited by computational power and the so-called 'curse of dimensionality'. Current improvements in computational power have expanded the usefulness of dynamic programming in farm management applications by allowing more detailed representation of important state variables, making the problems more reflective of true management environments.
