Winter injuries in grasslands in northern Norway caused by low temperature fungi

, : Winter injuries in grasslands in northern Norway caused by low temperature fungi. Norwegian Journal of Agricultural Sciences (supplement 7): 13-20

The most serious low-temp. fungi causing winter injuries in grasslands in northern Norway are Myriosclerotinia borealis and Typhula ishikariensis. In regions with stable and cold winters with a continuous snow cover of 150-180 d or more, the grasslands are highly exposed to low-temp. fungi. Young timothy plants were less resistant to M. borealis and T. ishikariensis than older plants.
