Behaviour of a nucellar line of mandarin 'Tardivo di Ciaculli' grafted on several rootstocks

, : Behaviour of a nucellar line of mandarin 'Tardivo di Ciaculli' grafted on several rootstocks. Proceedings of the International Society of Citriculture: Volume 1 Taxonomy, breeding and varieties, rootstocks and propagation, plant physiology and ecology: 7th International Citrus Congress, Acireale, Italy, 8-13 March, 1992: 280-283

A trial was established at 2 locations (Alcamo and Lascari) in Sicily in 1980. The rootstocks were nucellar seedlings of 19 genotypes. Data on yield and fruit quality were taken from 1986. CNR P1 (Citrus depressa x Poncirus trifoliata) and C. canaliculata produced high yields in both locations with no signs of biennial bearing. Citranges were better at the Lascari site while the sour oranges were intermediate in both.
