Belt-type conveyor dryer operation in cotton gins

, : Belt-type conveyor dryer operation in cotton gins. Applied engineering in agriculture 11(3): 335-364

Two prototype belt conveyor drying systems were installed in commercial cotton gins for testing and demonstration. Results indicated that this new drying technology is more efficient than a conventional tower dryer. In addition, the belt dryer improved seed cotton cleaning efficiency and grade of wet, high-foreign-matter cotton.
