Bioindication of the stress on needles of mountain pine (Pinus mugo) at different altitudes

, : Bioindication of the stress on needles of mountain pine (Pinus mugo) at different altitudes. Acta Facultatis Forestalis Zvolen ( 36): 41-50

Samples of Pinus mugo needles were obtained at 1400-1700 m altitude in the Lower Tatra National Park, Slovakia. Buffering capacity of needles appeared to be the most useful stress indicator among several anatomical/morphological and biochemical properties studied.
