Determining the operating parameters of a draining drum

, : Determining the operating parameters of a draining drum. Lesosechnye, lesoskladskie raboty i transport lesa mezhvuzovskii sbornik nauchnykh trudov: 57-59

A theoretical analysis is made of the operating parameters (i.e. speed of rotation and angle of inclination) of a draining drum, as used to remove the water from comminuted wood conveyed in the form of a slurry in a hydraulic transport system. Expressions are presented for calculating the optimum operating parameters as a function of the proportion of sawdust in the slurry mixture (25, 50, 75 or 100%) and the concentration of the slurry (10, 18, 25%).
