Indirect determination of levamisole by AAS and precipitation in a continuous-flow assembly

, : Indirect determination of levamisole by AAS and precipitation in a continuous-flow assembly. Microchemical Journal 48(1): 112-117

A continuous-flow assembly is proposed for the separation of levamisole by precipitation with HgI-2-4 and indirect Flame AAS determination. The reagent solutions were injected into drug solution stream, the obtained precipitate is dissolved by a pure ethanol stream, and the liberated mercuric ions are monitored at 253.7 nm in the atomic absorption spectrometer. The calibration graph is linear in the range of 5.0-40.0 ppm in levamisole hydrochloride and the levamisole content in a galenic formulation is determined.
