Low calorie foods and weight reduction

, : Low calorie foods and weight reduction. Ernahrung 19(10): 461-463

It is estimated that in the industrialized countries obesity of all persons over 16 years old varies between 22 and 42%. From 1988 to 1991 this increase amounted to 33%, with alarming consequences for disease incidence and health care costs. This paper discusses ways in which weight reduction might be managed more efficiently by consuming low-energy foods.
