The dynamics of colloidal system in loess soils

, : The dynamics of colloidal system in loess soils. Zeszyty Problemowe Postepow Nauk Rolniczych 413: 69-74

The minimal composition of fractions <2 mu m of 2 brown soils (arable and forest) developed from loess consisted of illite, smectite, a mixture of both and the accompanying minerals were kaolinite, hydrobiotite and quartz. In the arable soil the <2 mu m fraction eluviation was largest in the A horizon. Addition of CaCO3 to the forest brown soil significantly decreased eluviation.
