The effect of creatine monohydrate ingestion on anaerobic power indices, muscular strength and body composition

, : The effect of creatine monohydrate ingestion on anaerobic power indices, muscular strength and body composition. Acta Physiologica Scandinavica 153(2): 207-209

The influence of creatine monohydrate (CrH20) supplementation on muscle power and strength indices was investigated in 10 experienced weight trained men. 3 series of high intensity, anaerobic type, muscular workbouts were used. Series 1 included 3 consecutive 30 s Wingate bike tests, interspersed with 5 min of rest. Peak anaerobic power was denoted as the greatest power achieved in a given 5 s work interval. Anaerobic work was defined as the total amount of work performed in a 30 s period.
