, : Theoretical and technical aspects of the cryopreservation of bovine embryos. Zootecnia Sao Paulo 32(UNICO): 11-14

An account is given of methods for the freezing and thawing of cattle embryos. The transfer of 712 indigenous and imported frozen embryos to cows in Argentina in 1993-94 resulted in a pregnancy rate of 61.05 and 55.49% respectively, and for embryos of excellent, good, average and poor quality it was 64.85, 60.46, 44.18 and 30.76% respectively.
