Total cost approach for controlling fertiliser distribution cost

, : Total cost approach for controlling fertiliser distribution cost. Fertiliser Marketing News 26(3): 5-13

The distribution cost of fertilizer is high in India, with wide variations between firms, mainly due to distribution inefficiencies. The more efficient firms are able to manage the various distribution functions at a reasonable cost. This paper attempts to reduce the distribution cost using the total cost approach. The concept of trade-off is also developed.
