Water movement of three rattan species

, : Water movement of three rattan species. Forest Products Industries 13(1): 67-76

The speed of moisture movement in stems of three rattan species above fibre saturation point (FSP) in the longitudinal direction and whole section was quicker than that of wood. It is considered to be due to large diameter vessels and abundant parenchyma cells. Below FSP, it shows the contrary tendency.
