, : A production system for Murrah buffaloes in the northeast region of Parana State. Boletim Tecnico Instituto Agronomico do Parana ( 49): 23 pp.

Data on a herd of 135 Murrah buffaloes, maintained on pasture and supplemented with minerals throughout the year and with roughage and concentrates in July-Aug., were analysed. Birth weight averaged 36 kg for males vs. 33 for females, and body weight at weaning and at 12, 18 and 24 months of age averaged 181, 219, 263 and 385 kg respectively vs. 177, 210, 260 and 345 kg.
