Assessment of soil suitability for forestry (wood production). Elaborating a map of soil types

, : Assessment of soil suitability for forestry (wood production). Elaborating a map of soil types. Genio Rurale 59(7/8): 74-80

As part of a dossier on the environmental and economic sustainability of forestry, an account is given of soil survey and mapping of sites suitable for high-quality wood production (particularly of Juglans regia, Juglans nigra, Quercus petraea, Quercus robur, Tilia sp., Prunus avium, Acer pseudoplatanus, Acer platanoides and Fraxinus excelsior) in the Bergamo region of northern Italy.
