Association between plant habit and seed size in French beans

, : Association between plant habit and seed size in French beans. Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira 32(3): 297-304

The F2 to F5 generations of the Phaseolus vulgaris crosses Milionario x Flor de Mayo, EMGOPA 201-Ouro x Manteigao Fosco 11 and Rio Vermelho x Roxo PV were studied in 1993-94 at Lavras, MG, Brazil, for plant habit and seed size. The F5 was also studied at Patos de Minas, MG. There was no correlation between habit score and seed yield, but there was a positive correlation between 100-seed weight and yield.
