Classification, improvement and use of low mountain and hill grassland in Changbai Mountain system

, : Classification, improvement and use of low mountain and hill grassland in Changbai Mountain system. Proceedings of the XVI International Grassland Congress, 4-11 October 1989, Nice, France: 1403-1404

Based on previous studies on the grassland in the Changbai Mountain system, the grasslands in the low mountain and hilly areas of this system are classified. The low mountain and hill area is located between 42 degrees and 44 degrees 30' N., and 125 degrees 30' and 128 degrees E. The grassland area below 500 m elevation is about 750 000 ha. Topography and climate vary greatly within the area.
