Computer use in small-scale and medium-sized horticultural holdings: theory and reality - experience from the implementation of a project

, : Computer use in small-scale and medium-sized horticultural holdings: theory and reality - experience from the implementation of a project. Acta Horticulturae ( 429): 257-264

A newly developed production controlling system for the horticultural sector became a major success (after it had been substantially changed by the participating entrepreneurs). The new system can now control all important routine tasks of daily management e.g. handling packing orders, management of empty boxes, acquisition of inputs and many other tasks. Only problems that are well structured and clearly described can be handled by formal decision procedures provided by the system.
