Development of the barley-barley mildew (Erysiphe graminis f.sp. hordei) pathosystem in the course of a growing season and consequences for plant health - a study in northern France

, : Development of the barley-barley mildew (Erysiphe graminis f.sp. hordei) pathosystem in the course of a growing season and consequences for plant health - a study in northern France. Pflanzenschutz Nachrichten Bayer English ed 48(2): 379-399

Powdery mildew, E. graminis f.sp. hordei, is an important pathogen of cultivated barley. The aim of the study was to ascertain the structure and dynamics of this pathosystem at a local level in the course of a growing season and to derive information on fundamental mechanisms. In Mar., Apr., May and Jun. of 1993, representative random samples of mildew spores were collected from the air with the aid of a stationary jet spore trap.
