Turkey holds an important position in the world olive sector. Although plagued by problems associated with production, marketing organization and foreign trade policy measures, there have recently been positive developments in the Turkish olive sector. This revitalization is particularly reflected in production, with the introduction of innovative olive oil technology and movements in olive oil prices. An overview is presented of current and prospective production.
