For 3000 Chianina and Chianina x Nelore cattle with 50, 75, 37.5, 87.5 and 63.5% Chianina inheritance, birth weight averaged 44.06, 35.44, 37.93, 34.19, 40.52 and 35.78 kg respectively, weaning weight 184.95, 156.65, 161.22, 173.5, 156.93 and 159.33 kg, body weight at 12 months 283.6, 230.09, 232.45, 229.02, 226.04 and 220.96 kg, and body weight at 18 months 380.71, 301.66, 295.11, 312.08, 282.9 and 289.82 kg (all P<0.01).
