Grazing behavior of horses on pasture: predisposition to strongylid infection?

, : Grazing behavior of horses on pasture: predisposition to strongylid infection?. Journal of Equine Veterinary Science 16(10): 421-427

The effect of the behaviour of horses on a fenced-in pasture in the northeastern USA on infection by Strongylus vulgaris was investigated using 9 Standardbred colts on 2 pastures observed 3 times a week during 2 observation periods (January and February to mid-March, 1995). 9 adult Standardbred mares and geldings were also observed on the same pastures during one observation period from April to mid-May, 1995.
