Pathogenicity of Candida tropicalis, Candida krusei and Torulopsis (Candida) glabrata for outbred CFW1 mice

, : Pathogenicity of Candida tropicalis, Candida krusei and Torulopsis (Candida) glabrata for outbred CFW1 mice. Journal de Mycologie Medicale 6(3): 133-135

A total of 20 clinical strains each of T. glabrata, C. krusei and C. tropicalis were tested for intravenous pathogenicity in outbred CFW1 mice. The infection dose was 6 x 106 colony forming units (CFU)/mouse for C. tropicalis, 1 x 107 for C. krusei and 2 x 108 for T. glabrata and represented an equal amount of biomass for all 3 species.
