Population biology of the saw-toothed grain beetle, Oryzaephilus surinamensis (Coleoptera: Silvanidae), in an experimental model of a fabric treatment

, : Population biology of the saw-toothed grain beetle, Oryzaephilus surinamensis (Coleoptera: Silvanidae), in an experimental model of a fabric treatment. Bulletin of Entomological Research 86(4): 377-385

The response of populations of Oryzaephilus surinamensis (7022/1 strain), to insecticide treatments of different extent and standard concn was studied over 16 weeks (not more than two generations) in experimental bins containing a wheat bulk and 16 kibbled wheat-filled refuges at 25 degrees C and 55-80% RH. Bins were treated with pirimiphos-methyl (as Actellic 40 WP).
