The NWS River Forecast System - catchment modeling

, : The NWS River Forecast System - catchment modeling. Computer models of watershed hydrology: 311-366

The US National Weather Service has developed a computerized library of well-tested rainfall-runoff procedures, discharge routing techniques, snow ablation methods, and water supply analysis systems called the National Weather Service River Forecasting System (NWSRFS). The NWSRFS will be used by River Forecast Centers who provide public warnings of flooding. The Sacramento Catchment Model is used as the main NWSRFS component for catchment modelling.
