The effect of rooting media and IBA concentration on stem cuttings of MM 106

, : The effect of rooting media and IBA concentration on stem cuttings of MM 106. Egyptian Journal of Agricultural Research 70(2): 599-612

Rooting media and IBA concentration affected the rooting and the type of root system arising from hardwood and softwood cuttings of apple rootstock MM.106 in 1986 and 1987. The best rooting was observed for hardwood cuttings treated with 2000 ppm IBA and planted in sand + peatmoss (1:1) or peatmoss + vermiculite (1:1). The lowest rooting percentage and number of roots/hardwood cutting were recorded in controls. Lowest rooting percentage of softwood cuttings was recorded for controls.
