In a pot trial, Lolium perenne, L. multiflorum var. westerwoldicum, Arrhenatherum elatius, Agrostis alba, Vicia sativa, Pisum arvense and Trifolium resupinatum were grown in soil contaminated with Zn, Pb and Cd (1860, 335 and 9.1 mg/kg dry soil, respectively). The contents of these elements in roots and shoots were determined at successive phenological stages.
