Tonsillar actinomycosis presenting as expectorated debris

, : Tonsillar actinomycosis presenting as expectorated debris. Journal of Infection 34(3): 283-284

A case is reported in a man from the UK who expectorated a small mass of white material. The patient had no symptoms of tonsillar disease, although he had a 3-month history of productive cough. Histological examination of the mass revealed Actinomyces, consistent with tonsillar origin.
