Characterization of an old municipal landfill (Grindsted, Denmark) as a groundwater pollution source: landfill history and leachate composition

, : Characterization of an old municipal landfill (Grindsted, Denmark) as a groundwater pollution source: landfill history and leachate composition. Waste Management and Research 16(1): 3-13

The history of the Grindsted landfill was investigated using aerial photographs and interviews, from which waste volumes and ages of different parts of the landfill were determined. A pronounced variability in leachate composition was observed between the 31 wells.
