Comparison of erosive processes in cultivated soils using the radioisotope caesium-137

, : Comparison of erosive processes in cultivated soils using the radioisotope caesium-137. ITEA Produccion Vegetal 93(1): 65-73

Soil erosion caused by different cultivation techniques for olive-trees (cultivation without soil disturbance, traditional agriculture or conservation agriculture) in the Guadajoz watershed (Andalucia, Spain) was evaluated. The samples were analysed using isotopic methods and measuring the content of 137Cs in the soil. In general the results show that the erosion is positively related to removal of soil by cultivation.
