Consumers and staple vegetables

, : Consumers and staple vegetables. Infos Paris ( 149): 13-17

Ctifl conducted a survey of French consumers (n=1000, 1998) in order to gain insight into their reactions concerning staple vegetables; namely, cabbages, turnips, carrots and leeks. An initial qualitative phase of the study assessed the image of these products, defined quality criteria and compared their respective strengths and weaknesses. The survey helped identify consumer expectations and suggest retailing improvements and enhancements in terms of information and communication.
