Detection of primary and secondary metabolites excreted by Beauveria brongniartii

, : Detection of primary and secondary metabolites excreted by Beauveria brongniartii. Bulletin OILB/SROP 21(4): 61-66

The three entomopathogenic Beauveria brongniartii production strains (IMBST 95.031, IMBST 95.041 and CH 95.011) accumulated only oosporein, a less active mycotoxin, when cultivated in submerged culture or on barley seeds. A maximum concentration of 1.8 mM oosporein was produced in a batch bioreactor run after four days incubation. After inoculation of sterilised barley seeds with 100 ml culture broth only 0.22 mM oosporein was detected after 21 days incubation at 23 degrees C and >= 70% RH.
