Does the global load in a pear orchard of psyllids and predators describe an equilibrium of predators/prey and does it permit a control strategy?

, : Does the global load in a pear orchard of psyllids and predators describe an equilibrium of predators/prey and does it permit a control strategy?. First transnational workshop on biological, integrated and rational control: status and perspectives with regard to regional and European experiences, Lille, France, 21-23 January 1998: 77-78

Field studies were carried out during 1995-97 in French pear orchards to investigate the interactions between Cacopsylla pyri and its predators. The cumulated number of adult psyllids and predators represented the global load which an orchard could support during a growing season. With these data, the variations in global load in a given time-span were compared with logistic curves.

Evidence for gene silencing of Haemophilus influenzae involved a beta-subunit of RNA polymerase. The gene presumed silenced was rifampin resistance.
