Three healthy men and 10 women were administered Sho-Saiko-To (SST 7.5 g/day) or Juzen-Taiho-To (JTT; 7.5 g/day) for 2 weeks. Both JTT and SST increased secretion of IFN- gamma and IL-4 from peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
