, : Genetic parameters of body weight and daily gain of Suffolk lambs to 70 days of age. Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie Skodowska Sectio EE Zootechnica 16: 155-160

Data were obtained in 1989-97 on a Polish Lowland flock subjected to upgrading to Suffolk. For 491 Suffolk lambs and 497 crossbred lambs (with 75, 87.5 or 93.75% Suffolk inheritance) respectively, birth weight averaged 4.92 and 4.97 kg, body weight at 70 days of age 21.9 and 22.7 kg, and daily gain from birth to 70 days 219 and 245 g. For 504 lambs born single and for 484 twin-born lambs, birth weight averaged 5.67 and 4.21 kg, and body weight at 70 days 25.0 and 19.5 kg.
