Isolation and identification of avian infectious bronchitis virus

, : Isolation and identification of avian infectious bronchitis virus. Acta Agriculturae Universitatis Henanensis 32(4): 345-348

A field virus was isolated from 18-day-old chicks with diarrhoea, respiratory symptoms and swelling of the proventriculus. The isolate induced depression and diarrhoea by day 6 and death by day 8 in susceptible chicks, caused mortality and dwarfing of chick embryos and interfered with the growth of Newcastle disease virus Lasota strain in chicks embryos. The isolate agglutinated chicken erythrocytes after treatment with 1% trypsin.
