Scanning electron microscope in carpological studies

, : Scanning electron microscope in carpological studies. Wiadomosci Botaniczne 40(3/4): 55-65

The structure of plant surfaces has been intensively studied under taxonomic and ecological aspects. During the last decade the application of scanning electron microscope (SEM) has greatly increased the knowledge of plant surfaces. The SEM is a surface microscope and the subject under examination is the natural primary surface of a plant - the epidermis, which covers seeds and fruits.
