Utilization of corn stalk in feeding rabbits

, : Utilization of corn stalk in feeding rabbits. Egyptian Journal of Rabbit Science 9(1): 25-42

80 New Zealand White rabbits were given diets in which 0 (control), 10, 20 or 30% of the clover hay was replaced by dried corn stalk (CS) with or without Cel-Con (CC) (a yeast culture primarily of Saccharomyces cerevisiae) supplementation (2.0 g/kg feed) from 6 to 13 weeks of age. Liveweight and weight gain of rabbits decreased with increasing CS level in the diet up to 30%.
