, : Development of a continuous whitefly cell line [Homoptera: Aleryrodidae: Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius)] for the study of begomovirus. Journal of Invertebrate Pathology 77(1): 33-36

A cell line, designated as Btb(Ba)97, Hunter-Polston, was established in vitro using embryonic tissues from the eggs of non-viruliferous whitefly (B. tabaci). Cell cultures were inoculated with begomoviruses (bean golden mosaic virus (BGMV) and tomato mottle virus (ToMoV)).
